Apple Honey Mustard Chutney Sausage Bites


  • 1 7.5 oz Niman Farm Apple Gouda Sausage
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 1/2 cup petite dice honey crisp apples
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp minced shallot
  • Water as needed - 1 tbsp at a time
  • Salt to taste


Melt butter in a small saucepan. Sweat the diced apple and shallot for 2-3 minutes over medium heat. Add mustard, honey, and rice wine vinegar and stir until combined over medium-low heat. Add water 1 tbsp at a time to achieve a glaze-like consistency. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Add salt to taste.  Preheat your grill to medium-high. When the temperature reaches 200, place the sausage on the grill and allow them to heat gradually.  Cook on each side for approximately two minutes once the grill comes to temperature.  Slice sausage into bite-sized pieces, skewer with toothpicks and top with apple honey mustard chutney.  Serve immediately.  Enjoy!
