APWU Apple Bacon Stuffing


  • 7 cups cubed Corropolese Bakery Seeded Vienna Split Roll
  • 2 1/2 cups honey crisp apples
  • 1 lb crisped D'Artagnan Uncured Applewood Smoked
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 cups minced onions
  • 3 tbsp bacon fat
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 large sprig of rosemary
  • 1/4 tsp chopped rosemary
  • 1 tsp chopped thyme
  • 1/2 tsp Better Than Bouillon Organic Roasted Chicken
  • 1 jumbo egg
  • 1 1/2 tsp heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 tsp pepper


Cube bread and dry in the oven at 250 for 25 minutes. Crisp bacon and reserve fat. Then preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combined melted butter, bread, onion, bacon fat, salt, rosemary, thyme, Better Than Bouillon, apple, and pepper. In a separate bowl, beat egg until well scrambled, stir in heavy whipping cream, and then add to large bowl with other ingredients. Stir together until well combined. Scoop into small ramekins for individual servings and bake for 25 minutes or one large baking dish and bake for 45 minutes.
