Let’s just get it out there… bacon is life and candied bacon is heaven.
Miranda’s Candied Bacon with Horseradish
Yields 16 Slices (1 package)
- 1 lb of Hormel Black Label bacon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- sprinkle of black pepper
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Place strips of bacon in large bowl with brown sugar and gently toss to coat with sugar. Then transfer strips to an elevated baking rack (we used a broiler pan) and sprinkle with black pepper. Bake for 35-40 minutes – until deep golden brown. Remove from oven to cool.
Next prepare your horseradish sauce.
- 4 tbsp of Hellman’s Mayonnaise
- 6 tsp Kelchner’s Horse-radish (adjust based on your spice preference)
- 3 tbsp half and half
- 1/8 tsp sea salt
Dip bacon into sauce once cool and enjoy!
