Creamy Parmesan Brussels with Crispy Fried Onions
- 6 cups sliced brussel sprouts
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 1/2 cups half and half
- 3 oz Philadelphia cream cheese
- 1/3 cup water
- 3 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
- salt to taste
- 1 cup fried onions
Preheat large cast iron pan to medium high and melt butter. Add brussel sprouts and spread out evenly – leave undisturbed until you start seeing the edges beginning to brown in approximately 5 minutes. Stir and add water. Cook until water is evaporated; reduce heat to low and add cream cheese and parmesan. Stir until melted. Add half and half and increase heat to high for approximately one minute until thoroughly heated; stirring constantly. Transfer to baking dish and sprinkle with crispy fried onions. Broil on high until onions are deep golden brown. Enjoy!
