As soon as the egg nog hits the shelves in the grocery store, we start to take the holidays very seriously… so take our word for it – this French toast is the last French toast recipe you’ll ever need…
Egg Nog French Toast with Maple White Chocolate Whipped Cream
- 1 unsliced loaf White Italian Bread
- 1/3 cup melted white white chocolate chips
- 1 cup egg nog
- 2 jumbo eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- Pinch of salt
- Cinnamon for garnish
- Additional Maple Syrup for Garnish
Add heavy cream and maple syrup to stainless steel mixing bowl add whip on high until you have soft peaks. Add room temperature melted white chocolate and whip for an additional minute until you have stiff peaks. Cover and refrigerate until ready for use. In a shallow dish, whisk together egg nog, eggs, vanilla, and a pinch of salt. Slice bread into desired serving size and dip each piece in egg nog mixture. You want your bread to be somewhat saturated but not so much so that it starts to fall apart. Preheat sauté pan to medium and add 1 tbsp butter; add French toast and fry in batches until golden brown on each side. Reduce heat if it begins to burn. If necessary add additional butter between batches. Serve warm or chilled and top with Maple white chocolate whipped cream, drizzled maple syrup, and a sprinkling of cinnamon. Enjoy!
