Mini Honey Ham & Smoked Cheddar Grilled Cheese with Granny Smith Apple & Stone Ground Mustard
Yields 1 sandwich, or 4 mini sandwiches…
- 2 slices of smoked cheddar cheese
- 2 slices of Applegate brand organic honey ham
- 4-6 slices of Granny Smith apple
- 1 tsp stone ground mustard
- 2 slices of sourdough or country white bread
- 1 tbsp butter
First thinly slice your sandwich ingredients into your desired amounts. Smear mustard on one side of your sandwich bread, then stack 1 slice of cheese, ham slices, apple slices, the other slice of cheese, and other slice of bread.
In cast iron pan – or pan of your choosing – add butter and turn heat to medium low. Toast entire sandwich on medium low until golden brown on one side and cheese is melted. Then flip and increase heat to medium until toasted to golden brown on the other side. Slice sandwich into 4 mini sandwiches and serve!
