Ginger Lemon Limeade

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sliced ginger
  • 1 cup fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 4-5 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
  • Ice

In small sauce pan combine water, fresh sliced ginger, and sugar to create a simple syrup. Simmer on low for 10 minutes until sugar is dissolved.  Allow to cool; remove ginger with slotted spoon.  In a large pitcher, add the lemon juice, lime juice, and simple syrup.  Stir.  Add grated ginger and 4-5 cups of water, depending on your desired flavor intensity.  Pour over ice. Garnish with fresh lemon and lime slices.
